Hearing Screenings

Early diagnosis of hearing loss is necessary for early intervention. If a child is born with hearing loss, his or her ability to learn how to talk may be affected.

Due to a malfunction in our equipment, The Center currently does not provide hearing screenings; however, we do provide referrals as needed.

The purpose of hearing screening is to test your child’s ability to hear and to determine whether further testing will be necessary. The test is not painful and most babies sleep through the process.
